Art, murals, prayers, and writings seeking an all-inclusive, equitable Church and world.
Here you can follow me as I evolve as an artist.
I believe in making religious art that challenges white supremacy in the U.S. Catholic Church, especially in religious art, by uplifting the prophetic power and contributions of Catholics of color. I love the Church—which is why I am deeply committed to shaping Her history to be one of justice & Agape love.
Chloe Becker (she/her)
I am an artist and future student at Harvard College class of 2025. Currently on a gap year, I am enjoying taking on new projects and am always open to discuss commissions.
Presently, I am focusing on how I can use my art to confront racism within the Catholic Church. In Catholic Social Teaching, the Church calls Catholics to dismantle racism, but that is often undermined by the Church's quiet complacency, and further participation in racism past and present. My most recent works help to educate on the lives of underrepresented saints & Catholics of color, call white Catholics to engage in racial justice, and explore the intricacies of both of the exclusion and the power, contributions, & holiness of people of color in the U.S. Church.
"I think the difference between me and some people is that I'm content to do my little bit. Sometimes people think they have to do big things in order to make change. But if each one would light a candle we'd have a tremendous light."
